Dan Brophy is Vice President of Program Development at York Space Systems, an agile, rapid, low cost developer of small satellites, with a focus on serving new space missions and markets to grow revenue. Dan previously served as Vice President of Government Services at Capella Space, a Silicon Valley commercial space start up deploying a constellation of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) earth remote sensing satellites.
He applies his 35-year career working at the nexus of space systems, advanced technology, and venture capital and his indomitable spirit to create new space missions and achieve highly valued accomplishments to the delight of those who put their trust in the companies he serves.
Prior to Capella, Dan served as Vice President of Business Development for National Security Systems at Orbital ATK (now NG). He also served as a director at General Dynamics – Advanced Information System, Ball Aerospace, and Lockheed Martin’s Space Systems and Systems Integration Sectors.
He holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of Minnesota. Dan is also an instrument rated private pilot and American Sailing Association certified sailor.
