Chris Winslett is currently the Program Director for Lockheed Martin’s SDA Transport Layer program. He is responsible for leading the design, development and build of 10 satellites to support the Space Development Agency (SDA) in creating the National Defense Space Architecture (NSDA).
Before joining Lockheed, Chris was the Director of Programs and Acting CTO for OneWeb Satellites (OWS). His was responsible for managing all OWS programs as well as growing and developing the OWS customer community.
Chris started his career at Boeing Defense and Space (Hughes Space & Comms) and held numerous leadership position; including: BDS Site Consolidation Lead for Southern California where he was responsible for managing the site consolidation efforts across all Boeing facilities in Southern California. Director of Platform & Payload Products for the Satellite Vehicles Engineering group with responsibilities for the execution of all satellite platforms & payloads, including wire harness, integration and test (AI&T), mechanical design engineering and IPT management. In addition, Chris has held various leadership position in both new business and program management for US Government and commercial programs.
Chris earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in International Management from The Georgia Institute of Technology in 1999. He is married and has 2 children.
