Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) was founded in 2018 with the vision of providing frequent and low-cost access to space to better understand, connect and protect our Earth. To achieve this, RFA is developing a launch vehicle that can deliver payloads of up to 1,300 kg into low Earth orbits on a weekly basis at unmatched prices.
The RFA ONE launch vehicle combines three key competitive advantages: A highly cost-effective architecture using industrial automation and modified commercial off-the-shelf components to achieve the lowest possible development and production costs; flexible, timely and precise last-mile delivery by the orbital transfer vehicle in a dedicated launch scenario or rideshare mission; and superior staged combustion propulsion technology that releases fewer emissions while enabling 30% greater payload capacity than conventional rocket engines.
RFA consists of an international team of 130 space enthusiasts with a demonstrated track record in the launcher domain.
